CheckboxDay of the Ceremony Check-In

We ask that you arrive at the Hearnes Center field house at least 1 hour prior to the beginning of the ceremony. The field house entrance is located on the east corner of the Hearnes Center. Please check in at the appropriate table. Due to the number of details to coordinate, we ask for your cooperation in assembling and lining up early for the processional. For doctoral students, please make sure the faculty person who will be hooding you also knows to arrive at least 1 hour prior to the start of the ceremony.

CheckboxOrder Ceremony Regalia, Announcements and Other Mementoes If Desired

All candidates must wear academic attire at the ceremony. Caps, gowns, tassels and hoods can be obtained from the University Bookstore, 573-882-7611. The deadline to order your cap, gown, tassel and hood is at least 1.5 months in advance of commencement. Suggestion: Pick up your academic attire early to make certain that the company sent your correct order to the bookstore. Double check the color of your hood and tassel. The bookstore does not keep a large supply of attire in stock, so last minute replacements may be impossible. Make certain that you pick up your attire prior to the ceremony and bring it with you to commencement.

Before you order your ceremony regalia please review the Graduate Hood Colors chart to determine your hood trim color.

CheckboxTickets and Access Information

No tickets are required. You may invite as many people as you would like. Please note that facilities for disabled persons are available at the Hearnes Center. For more information call: (573) 882-2056.

CheckboxPrivacy Holds

If you have exercised your right to place a privacy hold on your student record this will prevent us from releasing any information without your written request. This hold will prevent your name from appearing in the commencement bulletin which is distributed at all of the graduation ceremonies. If you would like your name to appear in the bulletin then you must either log on to your Student Center in myZou and select Privacy Settings from the dropdown menu in Personal Information or supply us with written permission (include full name and 8-digit student ID number) no later than October 1. E-mails cannot be accepted as a form of permission since we need your signature. This should be delivered to 125 Jesse Hall or faxed to 573-884-4997. If you have removed the Privacy Hold from your student account yourself or have any questions, please send an e-mail notifying the Registrar’s Office to: commencement@missouri.edu.

CheckboxGraduation Photographs

Chappell Graduation Images will be providing a candid photography service at your commencement. Each graduate will have his/her picture taken at the moment they receive their commemorative diploma cover. A full color proof can then be viewed at the following website: http://www.gradimages.com. There is no obligation to purchase these pictures, and since all graduates receiving diploma covers will be photographed, there is no need to contact Chappell Graduation Images prior to graduation. You will receive proofs approximately 1 week after graduation.
