Financial Enrollment: Administration and Implementation Guidelines for Postdoctoral Education
Financial Enrollment establishes an educational relationship (vs. an employee relationship) with Mizzou and is required for all individuals with the title Postdoctoral Fellow - Stipend and for postdocs who receive direct funding, which does not pass through a Mizzou account. Financially enrolled postdocs will register for one credit hour of postdoctoral scholars during the fall and spring terms. Summer registration is not required. The charge is equivalent to one hour of Activity Fee and one hour of Information Technology Fee and currently is $18.72 per semester. Registration for postdoctoral scholars carries no academic credit but will be transcripted to reflect the educational relationship with the University, thereby enabling the postdoc to use facilities and services (laboratories, office, library, email, ID card, etc.). Costs for financial enrollment may be subsidized by the faculty mentor or department. To become financially enrolled, postdocs will need to contact a member of the admissions staff in the Graduate School so they can be officially entered into the system.
