About the Certificate Program
The Responsible Conduct of Research Program, headed by the Mizzou Graduate School, administers the certificate in addition to its other efforts toward responsible research.
Eligibility
Doctoral and postdoctoral students from all disciplines are eligible to participate.
Benefits
- Provides training in the responsible conduct of research
- Promotes integrity in the research process
- Provides information about current and upcoming regulations and certifications necessary to do research and present yourself as a more informed investigator
Minimum Requirements
- 1-hour course, GRAD 9001, Topics in Grad School: Introduction to the Responsible Conduct of Research
- 3-hour course addressing the responsible conduct of research in the context of specific disciplinary issues (see courses page for examples)
- Completion of assessments of skills and perceptions of the program
How do I apply?
- Successfully finish the courses listed above.
- Complete the online form to indicate completion of requirements.
- The certificate is issued to the student. The certificate does not appear on the academic transcript.
Program Availability
The certificate has been available since fall 2005.
