Courses for the Dean’s Certificate: Responsible Conduct of Research
- GRAD 9001 Topics in Grad School: Introduction to the Responsible Conduct of Research
- In this course we will identify and discuss elements of the responsible conduct of research. These include: protection of human subjects, welfare of laboratory animals, conflict of interest and commitment, data acquisition, management, sharing and ownership, and mentor/trainee responsibilities. We will examine ways in which individual disciplines engage responsible-conduct-of-research issues and consider ways of changing departmental culture to more fully integrate responsible research.
