Continuing & Distance Education: Graduate Study

Official Graduate Catalog Entry: To the Index

MU Direct, Mizzou’s continuing and distance education unit, provides the gateway to Mizzou’s online degrees and courses, serving students throughout Missouri, the nation and the world. The University offers 14 online graduate degrees with more than 30 areas of concentration in the fields of education, health management and informatics, human environmental sciences, journalism and nursing.

Flexibility

Distance learning allows adults to focus on their educational needs and meet academic advancement goals without sacrificing family, career or community responsibilities. Students enjoy the flexibility of online learning — at times and places that fit their schedules — while maintaining the valuable element of personal interaction with faculty and classmates.

Interaction and Participation

Often, students studying online find that they interact more with their fellow students and instructors than those studying in traditional classes. These frequent exchanges help participating students develop an extensive network of professional peers throughout the state and the nation. More about support and participation for MU Direct students
