Support & Participation: MU Direct Graduate Study

Online courses have an easy-to-use format, while offering the same intellectual challenge and requiring at least the same level of student participation as conventional courses. Courses follow a semester schedule, with students receiving course materials, syllabi and lecture notes electronically.

MU’s online courses use state-of-the-art distance-learning technologies to facilitate active learning, and emphasis is placed on immediate interaction and feedback.

With a variety of student services tailored to the needs of working adults, MU Direct strives to provide an experience as comparable as possible to that of the residential student, with online registration and grade reports, toll-free numbers for student services and technical help, and e-mail support available during evening and weekend hours. Arrangements with the MU Libraries and University Bookstore give distance students easy online or toll-free access to books and other resources.
