  4. Send all documents to the MU Graduate School
    by 5 p.m. Central Time on Friday, September 18, 2009.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents attending a U.S. college or university
  • Members of racial or ethnic groups that are under-represented in graduate education (African-American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latino or Native Pacific Islander)
  • Within one to two years of entering graduate school (typically a junior or senior during the fall of your visit)
  • Genuine interest in research and in earning a doctoral degree
  • Strong academic record
  • Interest in one of MU's official graduate degree programs

Space for the weekend is limited, so the Graduate School particularly seeks to invite students who will contribute to Emerge, and eventually the University community, through their informed perspective and dedication to scholarship.

An Expenses-Paid Visit. All costs associated with official events of the weekend (travel, lodging, meals, all scheduled activities) are paid by the MU Graduate School.
