FREE 2-day “Decoding Science” Communication Training Available to Graduate STEM Students Enrolled at Mizzou
MU School of Journalism
Elevate your research’s impact with the NSF-sponsored Decoding Science program taught by experts in strategic communication, visual design, theater, and life sciences. Join our program and take your communication skills to the next level. This is a skills-based science communication training initiative made possible through a National Science Foundation grant. Participants benefit from four, 2-hour workshops and rehearsal sessions led by leading experts. Participants will come away from the program with greater confidence and ability to give: poster talks, handle Q&A with media, conference presentations, and connect with any audience. Due to the hands-on nature of the workshops, seats are limited to 15-20 highly motivated and enthusiastic students. The workshop is free of charge but you must apply to be accepted into the program. To do so, send an email to Dr. Shelly Rodgers (firstname.lastname@example.org). Include your name and a brief description of how the program will benefit you. Deadline to apply is Monday, March 11, 2019. We are expecting high demand so please apply now!
