Dr. Smithey is the recipient of 2020 Missouri Honor Award for Distinguished Service in Engineering. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Master’s & PhD in Food Process Engineering – all three degrees from University of Missouri, Columbia. She headed Nestle Purina PetCare – Engineering Project Manager in Europe and has global experience working in the food sector. Dr. Smithey currently serves as the VP & Director of Global Engineering, Nestle Purina.
