Apply now for Mentoring at Mizzou!
Mentoring at Mizzou is a Research Mentorship Development Program for Mizzou faculty who mentor graduate students, postdocs, or junior faculty. Applications are open until September 17, 2021. An initial cohort of 20 faculty will be selected.
All sessions are from 10 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. Program dates are alternating Fridays and Thursdays.
Friday, October 8
Thursday, October 14
Friday, October 22
Thursday, October 28
The program uses Entering Mentoring curricula developed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research. This professional development uses an evidence-based, interactive approach designed to help mentors develop skills for engaging in productive, culturally responsive, research mentoring relationships—relationships that optimize the success of both mentors and mentees.
The curricula series addresses the new National Institute of General Medical Sciences guidelines regarding mentors’ preparation for training grants.
