The Black Panther movie illustrated that diverse representation is desired and needed. A cultural revolution in movies has shown to be profitable and engaging. People of color, especially the youth, are able to see actors who look like them in settings that are culturally rich and uplifting. By exploring Bandura’s social learning theory, this presentation will highlight how representation in media can create engaging formal learning opportunities.
While there will be limited seating available in the Bridge (220 Townsend), please consider attending virtually. Whether you plan to attend in-person or via Zoom, registration is required.
