To The Top

As your MU postdoctoral association representatives, we want to help you succeed during your tenure at the University of Missouri.  However, right now your safety and the safety of our community is our utmost concern.  We wanted to remind you of the University of Missouri’s policy for on-campus essential research activities.  We know that not all research groups on campus are following these guidelines, putting personnel at unnecessary risk.  Please know that the MUPA is here to represent you as postdoctoral researchers.  We take these concerns very seriously.

The Provost will be addressing this with all deans.  However, if you feel you are being put in an unsafe work situation by your advisor, you may email me, Kim Jasmer, at or the Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Office of Postdoctoral Education, Lissa Behm-Morawitz, at for assistance. Your report can remain confidential, but in order to remedy the situation, we will need the name of the advisor.

Also, for other assistance, leave policies, and other policies in response to COVID-19, please refer here. For research-related COVID-19 information see this page and for the most up-to-date information, check the MU Alert page here.

If there is anything else we can do for you during this time, do not hesitate to reach out so that we can get you the resources you need.
