Tips for Graduate Students Seeking Part-Time Work on Campus

Finding a part-time job while pursuing your graduate studies can be a great way to gain valuable experience, earn extra income, and connect with the campus community. Here are some tips to help you get started:

Connect with Handshake

Handshake (hiremizzoutigers.com) is Mizzou’s go-to platform for part-time job opportunities on campus. Create a profile and regularly check for job postings that align with your skills and interests. This platform connects you directly with campus employers who are eager to hire students.

Attend the Part-Time Campus Job Fair

Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 4, and head over to Lowry Mall noon-3 p.m. for the Part-Time Campus Job Fair. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet campus employers in person. Remember to bring your ID, copies of your resume, and your class schedule. While casual dress is welcome, be prepared to make a great first impression.

Meet with our Graduate Career Coaches
