Help keep our graduate community warm this winter! The University of Missouri Graduate School, in partnership with the Care Team (Basic Needs), Sustain Mizzou, International Student and Scholar Services, and Truman’s Closet, is organizing a winter clothing drive to support graduate students and their families, especially those preparing for their first Missouri winter.
We invite the Mizzou community to donate new and gently used winter clothing for adults and children. Donated items will be made available to graduate students and their families at no cost.

Winter Clothing Giveaway for Graduate Students & Families
Graduate students are invited to browse and select winter clothing at no cost during our upcoming giveaway event!
Date: Monday, November 16, 2026
Time: Noon-4:00 p.m.
Location: Grad Hub, 111F Townsend Hall
A variety of winter clothing for adults and children will be available, including coats, jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, and other cold-weather essentials.
Clothing will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. The selection of items and sizes will depend on donations received.
Interested in Attending?
We encourage graduate students to register through MU Engage. A brief questionnaire will help us anticipate attendance and better understand the types and sizes of clothing students and their families may need. Registration also allows us to share important updates about the event.
Registration is encouraged but not required to attend. Registration does not reserve or guarantee the availability of specific items or sizes.
Questions or Want to Help?
Interested in hosting a donation collection site or supporting the drive? We welcome participation from campus departments, offices, and organizations.
For questions or to get involved, please contact Dr. Heather Hoffman, Assistant Dean for Professional Development & Leadership, MU Graduate School, at hoffmanh@missouri.edu.
Thank you for helping us build a caring, connected graduate community and keeping graduate students and their families warm this winter!
