The Graduate Career Outcomes Dashboard provides first-destination placement information for recent graduates approximately six months to one year following graduation.
Graduate career outcomes data are primarily collected through the Graduate Career Outcomes Survey and supplemented with information from BlueRidge, National Student Clearinghouse, Alumni Insight, and staff feedback. Alumni Insight also provides additional information about graduates who enter academic careers.
An additional tab highlighting doctoral academic career outcomes, including information about tenure-track positions and employment at research-intensive institutions, will be added soon.
Key Definitions
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Career Outcomes Rate | The percentage of graduates who report a successful post-graduation outcome, including employment, continuing education, military service, or service programs. |
| Knowledge Rate | The percentage of graduates for whom a post-graduation outcome is known. |
| Graduation Year | Refers to graduates who completed their degree during an academic year, defined as July 1 through June 30. |
