  • Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 credit hours of the degree
  • Graduate GPA of 3.5
  • Applications are evaluated holistically. If you do not meet these requirements, you should provide evidence of exceptionality in one or more other categories. Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) scores (use school code 6875) are the primary recommended way to provide additional evidence of exceptionality.

  • Our PhD requires a TOEFL score of 100 or a Duolingo score of 130 for all international applicants from countries not listed under Exemptions and Waivers, regardless of prior study in Anglophone institutions or countries (including in the U.S.).

  • Completed Graduate School online application
  • Unofficial Transcripts- As part of the application submission process, all applicants are required to upload unofficial copies of all post-secondary transcripts to the online application. Official transcripts are only required if accepted by the academic program.
  • Official Results of English Proficiency Exams (International applicants only)

For the Information Science & Learning Technologies Program

  • Statement of Purpose
  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  • 3 letters of reference
  • Optional: Any supporting materials (e.g. published papers, technical reports or GRE)
