Ask a Former International Grad Student

Join us for an enlightening conversation with former international graduate students. Distinguished faculty members who bring a wealth of experience as international graduate students in the United States.

This unique session offers invaluable insights into the journey of international graduate students who have successfully navigated the U.S. academic landscape.

Following the short introduction and remarks, the audience will be invited to ask questions to support their own academic journey.

Panelists:
After completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Netherlands, Dr. Winter earned her doctoral degree in quantitative psychology at the University of California, Merced, before joining the University of Missouri as a postdoctoral fellow and now an assistant professor in the College of Education and Human Development.

Originally from Russia, Jambul received a Fulbright grant to come to the US as an exchange visitor and later pursued a graduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has since worked at several academic institutions across the US, including the University of Wisconsin, the University of California, the University of Pittsburgh, and now – the University of Missouri.
