The Allen Angel Capital Education Program is a student group of mid-Missouri investors. Through cross-disciplinary collaboration, students enable entrepreneurs to grow through careful analysis of business plans. Students invest in high-growth start-up companies by cultivating deal flow, performing pre-screening duties, completing due diligence, and structuring investment contracts. Exploring Entrepreneurship
This workshop will provide you with an overview of the critical first steps associated with starting a business. It is designed specifically for those who are thinking about a new business venture. Participants will learn about the importance of planning and will discuss basic legal and regulatory requirements, such as legal structures, licensing and tax form requirements. You will also be introduced to marketing and financial basics to determine your market and competitive strategy. An aspiring entrepreneur needs to walk through this process and do the work up front before investing hard-earned money and avoid costly mistakes. Cost is $25. The University of Missouri Extension Business Development Program (BDP) is a statewide network which helps businesses succeed in every stage from concept to startup, growth to renewal, mature to succession through a variety of programs In addition to MU Extension offices, business counselors are based on each of the campuses of the University of Missouri and at other public higher education institutions throughout Missouri.
