Assessment of Postdoctoral Work
At least once a year, faculty mentors complete a formal review of the progress for each postdoctoral scholar working under their direction. The goal of the review is to ensure that the trainees have a clear understanding of the status and progress of their work and educational advancement. This review should also include progress of the trainee from junior to senior status. The postdoc should complete an Individual Development Plan (IDP) as part of this annual review process. Copies of the review document should be provided to the trainee, department chair, and the Office of Postdoctoral Education in the Graduate School.
