Dr. Filip Tirpak

Dr. Filip Tirpak is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Sutovsky’s lab at the Division of Animal Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia, and returned to the University of Missouri in 2023, following a previous research fellowship in Dr. Sutovsky’s laboratory in 2019. Dr. Tirpak is involved in the high-precision phenotyping of spermatozoa from bulls harboring fertility-associated mutations and hopes to contribute to the development of sperm quality biomarkers applicable in both human and veterinary medicine. He is a sports enthusiast and loves to spend his free time with his wife, son, and dog.
