About. Show Me Research Week is a celebration of our scholars’ accomplishments and a showcase for all community stakeholders to see their investments come to fruition. Research does not happen in a vacuum. But sometimes it does—it happens in literal vacuum chambers, on farms, in elementary classrooms and everywhere, across Missouri and the nation.

Seek. Solve. Show. These are the goals of our research community, so join us as we SHOW the latest findings of our young researchers.

How can Graduate Students get involved?

• Seek! Visit with the presenters and explore the exhibitions!
• Solve! Volunteer to judge undergraduate research posters. The commitment is about 3-6 hours adapted to fit your schedule. Judges will be provided meals. Register to judge by Wednesday, March 13 at noon.
• Show! Present your research as a poster or oral presentation. Opt-in to have your work judged and compete for cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places across 8 broad disciplinary categories. Register to present by Wednesday, March 13 at noon.

  Opportunities to Prepare

  For graduate students interested in participating in Show-Me Research Week, the Graduate School will be hosting several opportunities to learn more or practice your pitch.

• Info Session. Join us for an informational session with Show-Me Research Week organizers online on Wednesday, March 6 at 3:00 PM. Register via MU Engage to attend via zoom and/or receive a recording of the session.
• Pitch Perfect Workshop. Need help getting ready for the big day? Participants can bring a saved copy of their research poster or presentation to our “pitch perfect” workshop on Friday, April 5! Practice in front of an audience of faculty, staff, and peers. Lunch provided. Register via MU Engage for our 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm sessions.
