Graduate Teaching Orientation (GTO) is a REQUIRED virtual training for all graduate students. Virtual sessions will be on Friday, January 17th, 2024. This event is dedicated to orienting all of MU’s (domestic and international) graduate students with a new role that contributes to teaching (such as leading recitation, grading, etc.) at the University of Missouri. Postdoctoral scholars, experienced Teaching Assistants, and Graduate Instructors who have previously attended GTO are welcome (but not required) to attend for a refresher, space permitting.

Schedule overview:

9:30am – 9:50am Welcome and opening remarks

10:00am – 10:50am Communication Strategies & Resource Guide

11:00am – 12:30pm – Small Group discussions (based on role)

GTO is required – attendance will be taken.
