Dr. Bridget Kraus completed her Master of Occupational Therapy and Ph.D. In Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Missouri. Prior to beginning her Ph.D., Dr. Kraus was the lead spinal cord injury (SCI) OT at an intensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Her experiences treating patients solidified her commitment to the neurological population and prompted her to pursue research. Her goals are to improve the rehabilitation approaches and quality of life for persons with neurological diagnoses, like SCI, through intervention development, chronic self-management, assistive technology, and implementation science. Dr. Kraus is currently a postdoctoral fellow within the Department of Occupational Therapy at Mizzou and collaborates with researchers at NextGen Precision Health’s Clinical and Translational Science Unit and Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Medicine on physical disability and rehabilitation research. Outside of work, she loves throwing pottery on the wheel, reading, hosting friends, traveling, and spending time with her husband, two dogs, and cat while they prepare for the coming arrival of their first child.
