Dr. Ana Caroline Conrado is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Jay Thelen’s Lab within the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her background includes work on various aspects of the soil/plant system, such as soil health, plant/bacteria interactions, and plant transformation in cover crops. Her current work in Dr. Thelen’s lab involves understanding and improving fatty acid synthesis in plants.  Alongside her scientific research, she is interested in environmental preservation and supporting equality for women and minorities in science. Additionally, she enjoys expressing her creativity through cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
