Dr. Chih-Hsuan (Emily) Chou is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Mizzou. She studied Physical Therapy for her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Taiwan. She received her doctoral degree at the University of Florida, where she was trained in muscle biology and muscular dystrophy. Her research interest is understanding the muscle-brain crosstalk and the molecular mechanisms of how different types of exercise benefit brain health. In her spare time outside of research, she is interested in cultural diversity and language learning. She also enjoys cooking, handcrafting, and traveling with her family and friends to different countries.
