I received my PhD in Comparative Biology from the Richard Gilder Graduate School in the American Museum of Natural History. My research focuses on using bioinformatics approaches to better understand the molecular evolution of complex traits. My research utilizes single nuclei technologies, genomics, and phylogenetics to explore 1) the evolution of medically relevant traits in the Mexican tetra (Astyanax mexicanus), and 2) the evolution of egg-laying and live-birth in squamates.
